ABOUT US

The Mundesley Singers were founded in 1982 when it was an all female choir. Since 2003,

men have been welcomed into the fold, adding tenor and bass voices to the already

existing first and second sopranos and altos and forming The Mundesley Community Choir as we are now known.

Our repertoire covers many genres including classical, church, popular, musical theatre and jazz pieces.

We regularly perform for events in and around the village and hold concerts over the summer and Christmas periods.

We rehearse between 7:30-9:30 on Monday evenings in Mundesley Village.

Our current fee is £40 per term, this includes the loan of sheet music.

You are very welcome to come along to a practice and give us a try. If you enjoy yourself, become a member.

Whilst we do use sheet music for most of our pieces, it is not essential that you can read music. We are keen to include all and will ensure that everyone is able to follow and join in with the singing.

Musical Director - Zaira Palumbo BMus (Hons) LTCL

Zaira completed her formal training as a classical soprano at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, attaining a BMus (Hons) in Vocal Performance and an LTCL Vocal Teaching qualification. She is a freelance performer and singing teacher, vocal coach and is also musical director for Red Loft Theatre Company and School and

The Garage Performance Academy.

Accompanist - Martin Adams BA MA Dip Mus

Martin studied at Birmingham University, the Open University and King’s College London. Martin’s early musical interests were in performing – but this soon developed into a love and passion for choir directing. And that led to various church posts  (including Reepham and Weston Longville), directing performances in several cathedrals,

and working with many choirs and musicians.
